Lavender Margarita
Ingredients:
1 1⁄2 oz reposado tequila or Mezcal
3⁄4 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
3⁄4 oz lavender simple syrup
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
3 tbsp fresh or dried lavender flowers and rosemary
Salt and dried lavender flowers for rim (optional)
Preparation:
1. Make the syrup by combining sugar, water, and lavender (or lavender and rosemary) in a small saucepan set over medium heat. Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow it to steep for 30 mins to an hour. Strain off lavender/rosemary and put syrup in a sealed container refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
2. In a shaker filled with ice, add tequila, lime juice, and lavender syrup. Shake for 30 seconds. Adjust taste as desired. Pour into a margarita glass, rimmed with salt and dried lavender flowers. Cheers!
